This is right off the AKC web site. If anyones aware of any changes please post them. I've been told that both running grounds are looking like they have plenty of rabbit for this coming weekend. Males run Saturday and females run Sunday.

Most of the guys & gals that are interested know the abbreviations.

Mid-Michigan BC AKC Licensed SPO CHB Trial

BC=Beagle Club

SPO=Small Pack Option

CHB=Certified Hunting Beagle

The term CHB is use by the UBGF (United Beagle Gundog Federation) to define their qualifying trials for their National Run-Off.

Hope this helps!

Doesn't the UGBF type dog need to run tight to the line and check, slower speed, along with getting almost all of the track? I heard most Midwest type dogs run too wide and wild for this format. Please tell me if I have been told wrong. I might reconsider.
I'VE GOT SOME DOGS THAT ARE GONNA HURT SOME FEELINGS!!!!! I just hope it's not mine. Home of Wild Hare Kennels and FC Creek Woods Blue.

I’m not going to set myself up for a long debate on running styles. You need to go and find out for your self. Then you define what you see.

Each club picks their own judges. Judges very somewhat in what they like. You get to know who to run under the more you go to the trials. “Enough said” :)
