Mossberg Silver Reserve

Post by Mark T »

Anybody ever use one of these? Looks like a smoking deal, the 20/28ga combo looks awesome for the price. Just wondering how well there built. I've got piles of rounds thru my old 500 20, looking for a O/U for bird/rabbit but don't want to drag a $1000+ O/U thru the woods, so checking out the much more affordable Mossberg.

good guns that shoot well but they are heavy to carry all day because they make them all no matter what gauge they are on the 12 gauge frame

Google skeet shooting forums, I've been thinking about the same gun. Matter of fact let a really good deal get buy me on here. Knew it was a good deal but tried to get cute dickering on the price for a couple days. Gave it to much time on the board & somebody (very wisely) handed him the money. Only bad I've heard on them is usually related to the gun not shouldering well. Not everyone says it probably about 1 out of 3 or 4 but your gonna get that with any gun especially doubles. Other than that the one that say they fit well say they (trap shooters that is) say they're finding themselves leaving the rugers & such home more & shooting the mossy. From what I can find if I ever see one in a shop & it shoulders well for me she's probably gonna have a new home.
