Do you have a Scheels All Sports anywhere near you? If so they have a Savage with a cheap scope for 219.99 right now. The scope would work to start with, but its nothing fancy.

no we don't we have a MC Sports and they have a Savage and a Mossberg both have the synthetic stock the mossberg was about $180.
and the savage was a little over $200.00 they just felt very cheap I didn't like them.
We have our Tri-county gun show this weekend I'll probably go out there and see what they have.
