The Extrema has very low recoil mostly because it is a 3 1/2 in. design NICE gun but for the money the Remington 1100 is hard to beat. Dollar for dollar, the Extrema is a little salty...

Sam Hays owns one and it is fast! The 1100 is a very good gun but doesn't cycle nearly as fast as the Berreta, Franchi,Stoeger with the inertia driven recoil system. The Winchester SuperX3 is the fastest cycling gas operated gun I have ever seen .But at a$ 1100 to $1200 price tag it is just not in the budget for me.I have found out that even the slow semi automatics are faster than my aiming LOL, so I have been hunting with my old Springfield/ Savage 745C built on the Browning A5 patent,it has an alloy receiver and was cheap enough to cut the barrel back to 24 inches and thread it for winchokes and saw about 3/4inch off the stock to make it fit me without destroying the value of an old high priced gun.I believe it was last made in 1949 and still shoots better than me!!!,Denny

This and the Benelli super black eagle are the smoothest cycling semi's I have ever shot. The xtrema2 is made specifically for waterfowling, and if you are serious aboiut it $1200 is chump change for a gun like that. I wouldn't be using it for rabbits, it's a bit much. It is an AWESOME gun though.
