Another 45LC/410 Handgun

Post by Ed Brown »

I have a Comanche and it works pretty well, but, I also have purchased a Magnum Research, 45/410 revolver. The Magnum Research is quite priceie, but was a once in a lifetime urge. I love it, the only possible drawback, other than price, is that it's quite heavy, in comparison to Comanche or Contender. Four pounds. They are single action, 5 shot revolvers. Having those extra rounds is quite a plus, especially when you shoot like I do. A very well made piece, manufactured in Michigan, USA.

I was wondering how long the barrel is, and if it shoots 3" shells? Does it have a screw in choke, like a contender? Thanks.

7.5 inch barrel, yes, screw in choke like the contender, and yes it takes 3 inch shells.

I am going to look one up. Have you seen the new circuit judge revolvers? they even make one that is lever actioned revolver. They look pretty cool, but I dont know about functionality.

I've had a BFR for quite awhile....any rabbit within 35 yds isn't safe....they are an awesome hunting pistol.

I've read some about the Judge. The main concern about the Judge is that they do not offer a choke. So without a choke the pattern is just way too wide for rabbit/hare hunting, in my opinion.
