looking for TOP grade dog

years ago i used to keep 2 lines of dogs and one was non registered (grade). and over the years i fell to the pressure of having all akc dogs. im happy with my current line as i get to shoot as many rabbits as i want to clean usually BUT as i get older, i could care less about public opinion of my dogs or me ;) and due to recent events i need to replace a top hound and i want something that doesnt have excuses. i want the complete package.

so who has some top grade dogs? i want pure beagle blood but i could care less about papers. i like a big nose, good speed, no crazy swingers, bigger size, and a hard searcher. im leaning towards a male but would gladly take a female if i found a good one. money is no big deal... i dont mind spending it if i can get what im looking for. i guess you could say im just getting back to the basics and going to please myself and not the general public.

Blackdirt,i like your thoughts. im like you, could care less about publicity and papers.
times are too hard to send money to akc.
my ole redman would of suited u to a tee, but unfortunately he has been sterile since a pup and nows 16 yrs old.
i have another grade male came from Indiania, cottontail-hare cross is all i know about him.
hes too old to keep up in a pack, i have 8 on the ground from him, all made decent hounds and have 5 , 4month old now out of him. cant wait till spring to get these in the brush.
good luck.
