Donovan,
Birdie is bred and due on 10/10. She is bred to a good young blueticked male that is a T-Rex grandson. T-Rex/ Branko x T-Rex/ Northway. They should be some good ones. Let me know if you are interested.

The sire is a 14 3/4" powerfully built Bluetick. I have not trialed him yet, he will be trialed after this rabbit season. I am trying to stick to the 2 season rule before trials. His hunt is good for a young male. No standing around in the road but he is not tearing up the briars like a fiend either. He is starting some races. He is medium fast with a huge thundering squall mouth that can be heard over the rest of a pack. He is working checks closer than Birdie, no over running and snaps back on losses more so than her. Ask Pete about him.

No offense taken. The cross in theory has been done before, but with different dogs. It has been carefully thought out and will be a step into the future for our breeding. Will it work ? I think so but won't find out until about this time next year.
We will also make the cross that produced the sire on the females next heat. Every dog from the previous litter started young and can run the hell out of a rabbit with controlled rage.

Donovon,
I trialed the sister to the dog Anthony is talking about at the Virginia State Hunt. SHe came in third in her cast at her first trial. I normally don't trial that early in age, but my female hunts very well and does not let checks happen that much. I will have her at the Ben's Knob hunt this weekend. If you have any questions you can pm me or call 336-504-5622.
