Ifits radio tracking I reccomend the Tracker Maxima, you can carry it with you in the field everytime you hunt and can add a yagi for Long range tracking or put a vehicle mounted antenae for bear hunters and such. You can get earphones and go with any collar including the very light supras, for beagles.

As far as GPS I am testing the new one that Tracker is putting out and will report on it next week on the Just Talking Dawgs Forum. Guys who have the Garmin seem pretty happy. I cant remember the range, but the Tracker is suppose to be unlimited.
Good Luck on your search.

I like the Garmins but still prefer the Quick Track. I have had mine for twelve years and has never let me down. With the Quick Track Quick shot antenna you can carry it on your side and still get long range. The wildlife 1000 is a great system also
