Buddy I have the same 870 , my day bought in new for me in either 1971 or 72 , it's took a lot of game in those 37 yrs or so , just a super little gun IMO , it is in exallent shape as I always tried to take very good care of it & all my guns he got me . I retired it after last gun season & picked up a youth Charles Daly 20 ga pump , find as I get older seem to be a little ruffer , can't get thru the ruff good as I once did Mine has a silver spoon so I'd say its a 70's model . I've picked up the complete set of 870 in the last 10 yrs ,
410,28,20,16,12 all from the same era and also the 1100's , maybe I like Remington's

That's awesome Randy !!! My dad too is a big fan of the Remington and so am I
however like you I normally go out with my old winchester . I have owned more
expensive but if I didn't care to scratch it up the Remington 870's are my very
favorite guns and would be the only thing I'd ever hunt with . I would love to
own that complete set and be able to keep them , that's quite a wonderful collection
you have .
