I have a 4.5 year male that is AKC registered. He is a grand pup to Pine Mt Chester on bottom and great grand pup to T-Rex on top. This dog is a hard hunting dog. Extra hunt and very fast. Hits hard on the check and drives with it. This dog can place in big hunts. He has what it takes. One win from being Grand Rabbit Champion. He is the ideal little pack beagle. John I think Chucky got the hat from an old guy named Barney that stole the hat out of a truck in Alabama while down there swamper hunting LOL JK.The hound he has there is all he says it is I've seen him go several times HARD HARD HUNT and Fast !!would make them swampers down there live hard !

I remember that hunt and how good their dogs did. Adjusted quick to swampers and water. Chucky and the other young men liked an Armadillo too! Glad none of them got sick. Only animal to carry Leprosy. Remember how quick they came out with rubber gloves when wanting to make pictures holding it.

One of our Alabama natives took it home and ate it.

The guy that had him decided that it wasn't what he was looking for. He said he didn't fit well with his dogs but was a very good dog. He runs tight mouth dogs and this dog is not tight mouth. He might bark early but he always has a rabbit. He is honest with his mouth. The guy that ran him said the same thing just didn't want due to him not matching up with his other hounds. He is back available and would make a great trial dog or gun dog either one for someone. He hunts hard and knows how to run a rabbit.

Out of curiosity what color is he listed on his AKC papers.

He is listed as red white and ticked.

Guys this is a good hound with a lot of energy, speed and hunt. He does it all. He is worth the money. Still available and willing to let you try him out first. Cannot go wrong with that. If he is not what you want bring him back.

What kind of hunt does he have Grub or bird dog style I'm looking for a hard hitting fast hound that can grab the line an go with it this him?

He will grubb in a thicket and hunt but does cover a lot of ground too. He is rabbit smart and knows to find a rabbit he must go in a thicket and jump it. He is a very energetic dog so he doesn't hunt slow. So i guess to answer the question he might be more bird dog but he knows how to hunt the thickets too. As for hIs running, he is fast and will want to be in front in a pack. If he has the line he will drive it and try to keep it as long as he can. If he has the line he doesn't second guess himself he takes it and goes.
