D.O.B. July 13 2008,AKC,NKC registered,is about 14 1/4"tall,He is a good looking black and tan dog,tail has been docked.He hunts hard,handles good,has a real good chop mouth.Jumps more than his share of rabbits and can run the hair off one.The reason he is for sale is he is about a 6 to 6.5 on speed and i run faster dogs and he don't want to pack some days if you have over 2-3 dogs with him.He will get off to himself and jump his own rabbit and run it.I think its because i am running him with faster dogs.This is a Rabbit Dog! Beagleman, what speed dog would you say you are running him with, that he wont pack up at times? or go hunt for himself? Does he open on cold trail or only after rabbit is up? thanks

The dogs i run are about 8-9 on speed.He will open a little early,but not mouthy at all.

I had this dog at my house before he was for sale. He was a solid hound. He was way slower than what we have, but a good solid hound. We also had some trouble getting him to pack in, but run faster dogs most of the time.
I have ran this dog with Dexter at his place and the dog did great and packed in well. Maybe it will just take him a while, but we only had him about a month or 2. I have seen him track a rabbit across a gravel road at night in the summer. He had a great nose and big mouth. He could open early sometimes, but almost always accounted for the rabbit. He was a good pleasure dog to run for me, he was a little slower than most LP dogs. We never gun hunted him but I would think he would make a good gun dog if you hunt a medium or tad bit below dog. I would give him a 5 or so on speed, 9 on nose, 8.5 on brains, and 8.5 on hunt.

He is a true rabbit dog and that is a fair price IMO. He's just a good 'ol solid rabbit dog.

Thanks,tinymwoods for taking the time to post this description about Thunder,you have descibed him exactly.I had him at 6-6.5 on speed but maybe he would be more closer to 5,i guess it is according to who is gauging. Thanks again!

Yes,Knott Co.,its in southeastern part of Ky.
