It would save a lot of time if more people would put their state in their for sale ads. Would also reduce the number of calls you get since people wouldn't call if they won't travel.

I agree Buck. Some list them with no location, no phone #, and no price. Go figure. No sense in anyone wasting their time and yours if he is too far away, or too expensive. If I am going to buy a dog I at least want to talk to someone on the phone that knows about the dog. Just my 2 cents worth and what do I know any way.

when i see a hound forsale add that looks like i may be interested in
ill open it up and look for the price first thing
if theres no price posted for all to see i wont look in to the dog any further
this really bothers me

It sure would save seller and potential buyers a lot of time and trouble.

I have posted this request many times and never get a moderator to reply. To me, it just seems the most logical thing in the world to do.

I also agree with what has been posted here. I would like to see what the price is and where the item is so as to weed out what is above and beyond what I am willing to pay and travel to. I also do NOT like to run up a phone bill calling about something I may not be willing to pay the money for or travel the distance to see or get. I've seen some nice dogs for sale on the boards BUT I never look into them when there is no price or location. If you are listing it for someone else then they should provide you with at least that info in lieu of the "call so and so as it's their dog" because there are some of us that will NOT make the call. I totally undestand that the owner knows it best BUt they at least have a price in mind and a location of where the dog is. I will NOT waste their time or mine when what they have is out of my range be it price or location. Seems like this would also weed out alot of the tire kickers too.

Since people who are replying are expressing themselves quite perspicuously, I wonder what the argument against putting a location or price on the ad is? For those who you who never put a location, why don't you? Just wondering.

Its not hard for someone to put their location in their profile. I know mine says city and state right below my user name on every post. I also will not call if there isn't a price. I don't care ya want$ 100 or$ 10,000, put it in the ad!

I agree, why not have your location in your profile. Its simple to update and add this to yours.

Unless you are a shame of where you are from why would it not be in everyone's profile?

My two cents anyways. However if it was I want it dont matter where it is have wheels will travel that's my MOTO!
