SR Patch your comments although obviously directed, lack any substance. There is nothing you could say that would upset or even irritate me. Usually men of your age have the maturity to agree to disagree and move on.

I dont inbreed dogs, you do. If your satisfied with the results your getting Im truely happy for you. I have not been satisfied with the results I had, nor have I been impressed with others success with inbreeding. We know everyone doesnt agree with it. My comments earlier were a weak attempt at humor. If it seemed personal, relax, take a deep breath, and go run your dogs in the cold. Come back in, sit in front of the fire, sip a cup of coffee, and ponder how much better the breeding is on your dogs than everyone else......

Bottom line, I dont care what anyone does in there breeding program! Im not concerned if your "bettering the breed" I hope you can get some of the hybrid vigor out in the cold and enjoy the fruits of your labor.......

Im sure after he read his post again, he realized how it sounded. I post sometimes, and then after I read it realize that it doesn't convey the intended message.

I dont get irritated patch, I find most of the contents of this board humerous and entertaining. Any reasonable person that puts countless hours into his hounds year after year realizes that.
In all fairness though, if you respond to every post I make on different threads with inbreeding comments I feel obligated to try to shut it down so the entire board doesnt get irritated with the sidebars.

Biggest issue I have with inbreeding is the VICTIMS that visit these boards looking for breeding advice and they come away thinking they need to inbreed to produce anything. I cant even dream of the crap eating fools thats created. IMO 99% of breeders should never do anything but outcross the best they have to the best they can find. Also IMO inbred dogs should NEVER be sold. If experienced breeder wants to inbreed to reach an intended purpose, he needs to keep all his experimental controls to their death bed. Only then could one hope to see the results of the breeding. The next generation is where the possible benefit is reached.

Well Dave, I'm gona let this go so u can "shut it down" cause it's only taken away from what this feller posted for.
Now that you got him & I straighten out the world is truely a better place. Your experience into inbreeding and it's causing all defects should be a warning to all the VICTIMS out thar to steer clear. Your failures should be fair warning against any hope of success in this evil of close breeding, you have proved it to yourself and I'll leave it to you to wonder how Ma Nature prevents it. I've had hounds that couldn't be line/inbred, the faults were laying just under the surface waiting to be brought out in a close mating(the one I'm thinking about was a uncle/niece), had I drawn my conclusion on those first few matings tried by related hounds, I would have the same opinion as you...
I do find it funny tho how you've convinced yourself that the feller changed his post only by rereading it, and not because of the slaming you gave him on it. I have to hope you two know each other and are not total strangers cause if so, this feller holds his tongue and temper very well...
Best wishes~
