Sorry to have to do this, but Jeff and I owned Shelby for quite a while and we put all of the UKC places on her. We gave her to my cousin as a pet and sometimes a hunting dog. Since then without our knowledge she was given to someone who sold her for 150 2 months ago and now she, as you can see, is for sale again for 300. I discourage anyone to buy her to breed and get pups. She has been bred 4 or 5 times and has 2 dogs that have done something in ARHA LP. Shelby takes alot to get her back in shape after a long lay up. I will bet she has been ran only a handful of times since last summer. If we had known that this would have happened, we would have gotten her fixed and not given her papers to my cousin. Don't get me wrong she is a very very good hound and we loved her to death, but she didn't throw good pups, and we didn't have the time to run her anymore. I thought she would just be left on the farm to get fat and happy. I really wish that you would give her back to the man that you bought her from, because I talked with him today and he said he offered you the money back for her. Don't be a dog trader with this one. She dosen't deserve to be bred again especially when she is out of shape and 10 years old.

Have a buddy who is trying to move a pup trainer. She is 9 years old. She is a UKC GRHBCH GRCH. She would make a great pup trainer or a hunting buddy if you aren't after speed. He wants $150 firm. PM me if interested.

Just telling you what I was told. Why would you buy a hound and then in 2 or so months sell her for DOUBLE what you paid? Yeah 300 is cheap, but it sounds like to me you're trying to buy a good hound and then turn around and make money on her.

Wildhare2, I don't think this is Slick 50's fault at all. If he took the time to go get the dog, paid for the gas, and paid the asking price for her, I'd have to say it's his dog! :D He may not have been aware of her past as far as her previous breedings. Who I'd be lookin' up and takin' for a trip by the ear would be your cousin you originally gave the dog to! Why I'd open up a good old fashioned can a whoopa@# on em' I would!

Oh trust me Bill I will be heading up that way this weekend. I'm just pissed and don't want to see anything bad happen to that old girl. She was a great hound for me and I was hoping that my cousins boys would have enjoyed her. Now I have to go smack him around a bit  Sorry for any illmannered posts.

Well, my brother and I had owned the old girl in her younger days. She is a good dog and is stilled missed to this day. I have a male out of her and Surbers RC Red. He is a LP GRRCH, BCH with one more win he will be Grand on the bench. There is a female out of the same little and she is also a LP GRRCH and not sure about the bench. Both of those dogs are good. She is owned by a guy in my club. If the money was there I would buy her back in a heartbeat and that is no lie. She would get all the time she wanted to in the field. Doesnt matter if I have young pups or not. But with a little boy on the way money isnt there. Thanks, Bryan ( Small Town Kennel)
