Widow is a product of one of our 2014 crosses, her sire being GRCH GRHBCH Hall Mtn See Spot Run and her dam being Hall Mtn Absolute Power (a.k.a. Abby). Her mom, Abby, is owned by a friend of ours in Richmond, VA who also owns GRCH HBCH Hall Mtn Tyrannosaurus Rex (a.k.a. Tyra). We were looking to bring some "Junie" blood into our kennel, and we found it through Abby going back to a littermate sister of him. Widow has a phenomenal pedigree and is showing phenomenal ability to go along with it.
She has very tight check work, a medium nose, superior line control and approximate 8/10 speed in good conditions. She has the brains to gear down and work a track appropriately for the conditions. She spent the month of November at a running pen being soloed and braced, which resulted in her desire and search being outstanding ever since. She is only for sale because she stands at around 14 3/4" at the withers. She is certainly under 15" and competition worthy, but we only run 13" females here at Hall Mountain Rabbit Beagles. I would consider Widow to be a very good dog right now, but with the potential to be exceptional overall by the end of gun season if run consistently. She has the ability to compete in a wide variety of formats - ones that emphasize control as well as ones that emphasize speed. She also has a deep screaming bark on track that can be picked out in any pack.
