WTB young AKC female and/or male (DE)

Post by rhaley »

I am looking to buy a 2-3 year old AKC female and/or male that has good hunt and runs medium-upper medium speed. Most importantly, the dog needs to be able to hunt and find its own rabbit, and have desire. Color preference is tri or black and tan. I do not want a dog that will walk the field edges waiting for another dog to start a rabbit. I will want to see the dog run before I purchase it, so please consider this before you contact me. Also, I do not want a dog that shows a desire to want to run off game.

My pack has been whittled down to 2 running dogs (one 10 year old and one that is just shy of 2 years old) after I had to put my best dog down last week due to cancer(7 years old), so I am looking for some young dogs to fill the void that are running good now and will look to some puppies in the future.

If you are located within a few hours of central DE (MD, southern PA, southern NJ) please contact me by pm or email at beagler1984@yahoo.com
Thanks!

Hey man, my name is Nick, I'm just south of you in Felton. I will keep my ears open and try and locate a dog for you. Going to be hard because the season is still pretty long, most wont want to part with anything decent. I have 2 litters coming up around March. The first litter probably has what you are looking for, Black and Tans out of a Slabtown male and my Slabtown female, head down, straight up line control, big noses, good hunt. Second litter should be pretty hot! I bred my bitch out of Burr Oak Burt to my Awful Bawlin Male, both have extreme hunt, no bottom, and can move a rabbit! They should be a little quicker than the black and tans. But that is not helping you now, just an FYI. I do have an AKC female 2 y.o. that I would sell but I had her sold twice. Both times she got brought back because she wouldn't run! Funny part is when I trialed her for the guys she ran her a** off, I get her back and take her out and she runs nice? Guess she doesn't want to leave me! Anyhow if you want to hunt or check out my hounds send me a pm.
