I really hate to do this but after much consideration I believe it's time for me to take a break from hounds. Partially for me and partially for my dogs. Since moving I simply have not been hunting my dogs. It's not fair for them to be penned up all the time. These dogs just haven't been out much in the last year and I hate to see that happen to a good dog. These dogs mean a lot to me and will only go to a good home. They will not go to be somebody that wants to breed like crazy or someone that wants to trade and sell dogs. I've been the only owner these girls have had and while it pains me to think about getting rid of them, it's the right thing to do.
Rosie is as tough as a hunting dog as you will find. She will jump rabbits when other dogs simply can't. She can run extremely fast on a track, but will slow down and pick up lots of checks. Her only fault is that she will open on cold tracks- but will stick with them. The more she's run the less she opens on cold tracks. This is a fault I certainly could live with as she jumps and circles rabbits well. She is 4 years old and could be trialed in pretty much any format you wanted- but has been used as a pleasure dog only. She is UKC registered- no amazing flavor of the month bloodlines so don't flood me with questions about pedigree- just a solid rabbit dog.
Becky is 7 years old. Overall an average dog, pretty good foot and a beautiful squall voice. When she opens you have a rabbit jumped. She is as friendly and fun a dog as you will own. Not as impressive jump dog as Rosie, but she will jump her fair share of rabbits. Have shot plenty over her. Also UKC registered.
These dogs will be rusty, but if you get em' in rabbits they will know what to do! Would be a couple great dogs for someone getting started. I live in Wyoming, so would have to work together to get transportation worked out- but it can be done. I also have a couple Seneca Kennels that could be sold if someone wanted them. Asking $750.00 for the two dogs. Won't find a better pair of beagles and certainly not at a better price. Don't waste my time if you can't provide a very quality home for them. No long lines of B.S.- just a couple solid rabbit dogs. References available. Call me at 307-461-1656 or email me at dannykeller1@yahoo.com Thanks for reading and have a good day.
