15 inch beagles

A Question was raised about allowing beagle taller than 15 inches to run at field trials, I was wanting to know what people in the show ring think? I breed dogs to meet the beagle standards not exceed it. I what do you think?

15 inch is the maximum Height according to the breed Standard ANYTHING over that is a Disqualification And does not meet the breed standard.

Ok the Europeon Standard is 16" so what if we were to Adopt that how long would it be before Sombody was pitchin a fit about not allowin 17" dogs then 18" so on

The Standard IS 15" PERIOD.
If ya Dont like it get a HARRIER!!!!!

Now before i get slammed YES i have had a couple over 15"
I Dont SHOW or Trial them
One is a GREAT Rabbit Dog and was pointed in the AKC show ring!! was national and International Champion BEFORE he went over 15"
Now he is just a REAL GOOD lookin Rabbit Dog and will be here till he Dies
I have been Told a number of times that i should trial him WHY WHATS the POINT he is OVER 15"

15" is big enough for me. If we allow 16"s then the next thing you know they'll be going oversize
