Post by Beagled1 »

I'm thinking of showing this pup in UKC conformation ... he's 14 weeks now. Does he have potential? Looking for honest opinions guys :)

This isn't the same one you showed me a month ago is it? I like this one for a show prospect much better...or if it is the same one he has improved a lot! :)

This would be the same one :D Last month I was considering two pups, then narrowed it down to the former "pink" pup. I liked his bone structure better & he was born w/ his nose to the ground. I was also talking to a internet buddy show breeder who "picked" that pup. But still, I don't have anyone in the breed too knowledgable regarding show lines to come and get a hands on look at him so I figured I should get as many opinions as possible before taking the plunge.
I really like his topline and structure, but am nervous that he will be a fish out of water in the ring. Do you think he has any potential?
Thanks! :D

I will be honest and say it would not do well in an AKC show ring, but might do well in UKC or another reg. show.

The UKC standard and the AKC standard are nearly the same.
