How does this happen and what to do to fix it?...
Patch, I'm unlinking the current picture up there. Send me the pic (in an e-mail) you want posted and I'll fix it.

No need to cut this thread. No tears, no progress. It's been a good thread and I am both proud and privileged to have our fellow "beaglers" from the conformation events on the board. I buy extra bandwidth each month and I guarantee there's room here for all of us who love the breed.

Thanks Bev! I really enjoy reading about the other side of beagles when its in a respectful way and with an open mind which I try to keep at all times. Since this thread is under MY dogs name I felt at one point it had strayed too far from where it started but, as long as it can remain civil I see no reason to drop it ;-) I'm glad you'll repost the picture of those lovely hounds.

The current breed standard best describes the physical make-up that would best suit the ideal hunting specimen. That is a fact that some may not yet be ready to acknowledge. This will slow the progress for some. Others will breed with the goal of developing dogs that have structure like Parker combined with excellent hunt characteristics. This is where the breed will reach its full potential. Several breeders must accomplish this or the gene pool of TOTAL DOGS will be too limited. Dan M

Leah would love for you to see her in person and will take her on the next trip to Jons. As for the "trotter" Competetion we'll have to see, trailing season is here and I will be pretty busy. I have had a couple of people offer to finish Reb for me in AKC show ring and I'm sure once they see Glory will want her also. LOL!! Working on the Gait along with starting pen, shes full of energy and free stacking is difficult at times, but will stack nicely on the bench. I will try to get some video and send of her in the pen. "TOTAL DOG"? I like what I see so far. UKC look out this is whats next for Sundown Beagles in 07!! Dave McVay

Folks,

I am here to tell you Glory is all that, plus some. She is gotta be one of the prettiest puppies I have seen in a long time. Just a couple weeks ago I was able to see her and she is a ball of fire. She does do good on the bench for just a pup. It will only get better. Cant wait to see her in about 6 months.

Dave,

Momma's wanting another dog!!! Do I get to see her in the starting pen? LOL Just kidding of course.

I have a litter mate female of Glory. I have her free standing pretty good (which she isn't flying around the house). If I get a chance I post a picture of her. She is the lemon and white female. Glory is a beautiful pup.

Jackie,

I know your pup. I was able to see her a few times before you picked her up. Be good to see a picture of her just to she how much she has grown.

How are the new dogs doing? (ie, Wink and puppy)

Wink and the little hunting female are doing great. I was hoping to get the female out this week-end, but I forgot I need to go to TN for a Plott Hound Board Meeting. :(

Special didn't grow a lot. I think she is going to be a 13" beagle. I have been taking her to dog school on Monday's and I think that helps. I am entering her in a AKC show in Columbus the end of April. Then hoping for the starting pen. This is all new to me, but I love it.

Beagles are alot different then my Plott hounds, but just as lovable.

Jackie
