Flat Tax system

How many of you would like to see a straight out Flat Tax on earned income instead of the Progressive Tax system we use today. reason you would like to see it or not.

This is the way I see it...

Those who currently pay taxes would LOVE to see a flat tax.
Those who currently do NOT pay taxes would HATE to see a flat tax.


A flat tax would give EVERYONE who works a dog in the race...


Unfortunately it will NEVER happen here. Our tax system is used NOT as a means of funding things mandated by our Constitution but rather as a system of WEALTH REDISTRIBUTION. Example> When someone who pays ZERO income Federal Income Taxes gets THOUSANDS of dollars in a refund year after year that money HAD to come from someone else who DID pay Federal Income Taxes...therefore its a tool used to take from those who pay to give to those who do not.

Because they could not manulipate the government into big upsides ,etc,and like Bluegrass said people who work all year and pay taxes should not get any back ,,if they were due any back why were they cut in the first place.

I know no one wants to get anything back at the end of the year.

If no one paid federal tax there would be no country.---Just look at what is oing on now and it has only been a few day's in another week ,most of you might start to feel the pain .

And every working American especially Republicans will put every thing they can legal or not in their tax reports to get money back at the end of the year.

Looks to me like the top 1% pays 35-40% of all taxes collected not 0%

WE already have a flat tax on all of us. When you buy something like groceries, tools, and all others, cars, gas, etc. we all pay the same tax.

Only difference is the additional Federal taxes that we pay needs to also be flat as it is not fair as it is.

Um, NO we don't have a FLAT TAX on us now...we ALL pay sales tax but the amounts can vary by state...I know Tennessee has a much higher sales tax than does Michigan because Michigan also has an INCOME TAX. We do NOT all pay the SAME TAX.


For the record and the informed, we were talking about a FLAT TAX on FEDERAL INCOME TAX RATES...not sales taxes.
