Senate GOP leaders requiring missing Dems to pick up checks in person
In their latest attempt to force Dems back to the Senate, GOP leaders have voted to require their missing counterparts to pick up their paychecks, per diems or any expense check in person on the chamber floor.
Senate Org voted by paper ballot today 3-2 along party lines to impose the requirement on any senator absent without leave for two or more days.
The ballot also suspends direct deposit for any lawmaker absent and specifies the majority leader will only provide the checks to the missing senators and only on the Senate floor during a session day.

Bring back the KING! the Monarchy demands it!
Do they really think these guys live paycheck to paycheck? Ever hear of a "rainy day fund"? This is the best thing that could happen for the Dems, sacrificing for the people's rights, they will become HERO'S!

Rufus you obviously don't understand the meaning of communism. It is basically a belief that government should set the standards of living for its population, everything is filtered through government &dispursed according to the officials in power. That is closer to the democrats idea of government, you know more taxes for more government growth. Do you see the correllation or am I wasting my time here. Morgan was elected by the people of the state of Wisconsin and took on a $3 billion debt. Cuts will have to be made and government employee benefits are a large, glaring expense that currently rests on the non-government employed taxpayers. Do I think the collective bargaining agreement should be eliminated...........no, but it should brought back to the table and revisited fairly, not with government officials backed by union dollars who know they don't have a leg to stand on and flee the state. No there was not a 3 billion dollar debt, actually it was 3.6 billion when Walker was elected. Pine lakes you are wasting your time, liberals have always believed you could spend money you didn't have. I was waiting until someone burst PMB's bubble on trying to blame walker for the debt.

Government workers do provide a service as does every working american. I don't want to pay towards my retirement and medical funds and theirs too, and I shouldn't have to. Does being a government worker give a person more rights than a worker in the private sector? Sounds like communism to me. I know hundreds of Republican voters and they are the direct opposite of communist. They believe in the Constitution of the United States more than all the left winged liberals like yourself put together. America is tired of the small group of liberals with huge mouths and it is showing in the poles. They are not going to make you live in a cardboard box and eat rations and to suggest such is well.........just plain stupid. Without middle class america they cannot make money and their money would become worthless. I don't know how to explain it any better than that. Every small business owner I know is Republican, and everyone getting a handout from working peoples taxes is a Democrat, why is that and which sounds more like communists?

I don't agree with doing away with the collective bargaining, i pay for my health care and my pension, it is deducted from my paycheck. I have worked at places before where there was no union and you were basically treated like a dog. I do on the other hand see alot of cleaning up that needs to be done inside unions,i personally don't like the fact that my union dues goes to defend the same idiot's who continually screw up at work. jmho

Rufus I can't speak for everyone, but I never said government jobs weren't needed. They are, and I'm glad to see people with a good job. All I've been trying to say is that government jobs should be "in line" with private sector jobs. I sure in some states they are, but in Wisconsin they are not and it is a detriment to balancing their budget. Mark my words that Walker will also make other cuts that will not offend you as much.
