Government Sensorship Don't they have enough to do?

Post by TC »

As a key member of the Grassfire team and one
who will eagerly defend our God-given rights, I must alert
you to an extremely disturbing and dangerous situation that
is threatening to silence the voice of the people!

Our great friends at the Media Research Center sent me this chilling message yesterday afternoon, and I'm now passing to you. I urge you, after reading, please take immediate action. This is a battle that we cannot afford to lose!

Your friends at Grassroots Action, Inc.
(Formerly Grassfire.net Services)

+ + + + + + + + + +
From the Desk of:
David Martin, Media Research Center

We've sounded the alarm before about the Left's intention to use "media diversity" and "localism" to silence talk radio in similar fashion to the "Fairness Doctrine."

These are the new "Fairness" Doctrines, and their time has come. The process to silence the opposition voice is upon us!

Last week the Obama Administration announced it's Federal Communications Commission (FCC) "Advisory Committee on Diversity for Communications in the Digital Age."

This Commission is made up of a laundry list of more than
a dozen left-wing organizations, and a smattering of radio
and television companies included to break up the monotony.

Noticeably absent are conservative organizations. In fact,
not one was invited to participate this Commission!

This is Obama's idea of media diversity? Freezing out conservatives when the committee meets next Thursday (May 7).

This meeting moves us dangerously closer to a "Fairness" Doctrine-esque silencing of talk radio. Obama's FCC seeks to regulate out of existence Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and the other First Amendment champions we count on and enjoy every day.

+ + The Man with the "Gag Order"

The Chairman of Obama's FCC "Media Diversity" Commission is Henry Rivera. Back in 1985, President Ronald Reagan replaced Rivera on the FCC because he was a virulent supporter of the "Fairness" Doctrine, and Reagan was seeking to end the un-Constitutional regulatory lock on free speech. Two years later, Reagan did and the rest is broadcast history.

But since then, the Left has yearned to re-censor talk radio. And this is how Obama's FCC now plans on doing it--by implementing the "Fairness" Doctrines.

That's why I'm now asking you, our MRC Action Team members
who haven't yet signed on to our Free Speech petition, to please do so now.

This is an imminent threat that can no longer
be ignored. Please take a moment to sign our petition and
take part in this battle to protect and preserve our Free Speech Rights by clicking here:

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=18759&RID=7114085

I'm also depending on MRC Action Team members like you to help me get the word out to the millions of conservatives who are being misled, and misinformed by the liberal media. These folks have yet to hear the awful truth about the attack on their Free Speech Rights--and I'm counting on you to get this message into their hands!

++ 50,000 Additional Petitions Needed

Because the liberal media aren't reporting any of this, it truly is up to you and me to get the word out to our fellow conservatives about the dire Free Speech situation we face.

We need to be ready to launch a major counter offensive
when the time is right!

In light of Obama's FCC "Media Diversity" Commission meeting next week, headed by the pro-"Fairness" Doctrine Henry Rivera, it's time for believers in Free Speech to TAKE ACTION!

Click here to sign our petition:

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=18759&RID=7114085

After signing, help rally and mobilize an additional 50,000 citizens who will stand with us for Free Speech Rights by signing our national petition. Forward this critical Free Speech message to 30-40 friends and family members. Urge them to stand with you by clicking below and signing our national petition:

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=18759&RID=7114085

How we respond to this attack is essential in protecting and preserving our Free Speech Rights. That's why I'm counting on you to help the MRC protect talk radio from this liberal assault!

As always, thank you for standing with the MRC.

David Martin
Executive Vice President
Media Research Center

P.S: Again, the winds of change are intensifying, and we must be ready to respond at a moment's notice. Please forward this important message to 30-40 friends urging them to stand for Free Speech by clicking here.

So basically what the government is trying to do is silence the lambs prior to slaughter: If no one gets the word out then the government can and will do anything they want with out any one knowing till it is to late to speak up....

The internet and AM radio is the only place left that is telling the facts. If they gets Obamaized we are screwed. Main stream media is already on Obama's payroll....or it would appear that way.

The problem is it is censorship and it will eventually hit every citizen of the US. Once they tighten up free speech people will no longer be able to publicly discuss issues with out fear of retribution. I seen this happening after the Joe the Plumber incident. That was a major eye opener, if you confront the President you will be punished!

How far can a government go into investigating individuals that say something that don't ride right with what that leader wants? If you oppose an idea that should be your right with out fear of retribution and investigation.

His tax paying should not have been investigated because he voiced his opinion, that was like putting him on trial to see how honest he was, when he was not the criminal, but he is a normal citizen that has questions as to what this guy plans for the US which is basically his job interview with the American Public.

If you went to a job interview and your potential employer asked you a question to see where you fit in their company and you didn't like the question so you have your minions investigate his back ground and have him publicly fried for it how would that look to the company you just wanted to get a job with. I would think that the employer wouldn't want you as an employee however America turned a blind eye to this tactic.

Why was it no one looked into Obama's back ground and how come when questions arose they were swept under the rug. If the statements were not true then why didn't they prove it? How come his back ground is so hard to check into? What is hidden there, well you are finding out now, his ties to the Middle East his disdain for this country.

Funny how our top leaders are always above the law....

Pine Mt Beagles,

You can believe that if you want, but I cannot believe it. I feel it was in retaliation for him being out spoken at the rally against Obama and his plans. Nothing more and nothing less. People are blind, they want to believe the easy road not the hard facts. Yes I agree The Problem is Censorship! Any time someone is retaliated for speaking what they believe or feel or their opinion is censorship and against the freedom of speach. Is that the kind of government you want? I don't. I would hate to think my family or my self would get punished for my beliefs, for what I feel or my opinion.

As for leaders above the law: What about the Clinton Leuenski deal, now say you were in the military and commander of a post and the lieutenant your secretary were caught in the same deal or say you are the boss of a major corporation and you and your secretary were having an affair... Is this not sexual harassment? Is this not off limits in a boss to employee relationship, is this not something that military men get court marshaled for? What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

He was commander and Chief of the Military HE should have been brought up on court marshal charges just like any other military personnel. He should have been slammed into court under the highest punishment ever in Sexual Harassment, boy I bet she got a huge check cause I am sure there were ACLU lawyers just panting at the chance to whoop the government on that fiasco..
