Accountability

Post by Tim H »

While Obama, his administration and a few radical liberals continue to deny Obama should be held accountable for his part in the current economic crisis, the American people are holding him accountable. His approval rating has dropped almost as fast as the economy under his leadership. His approval rating is now below 60% and has been falling since he took office.

Obama and his administration have tried to position him so that accountability is not possible. The message they are trying to send has 2 important components that must be accepted for him to continue with impunity.

The first component is the "inherited economy " slogan. The premise is that Obama can not be held accountable yet because he has not had enough time to fix what he inherited. This is presented with such talking points as "it has taken a long time to get here, it will take a long time to get out", "it will get worse before it gets better", and any reference that can possibly be made to "the previous administration".

The second component is the "I'm building for the long term" slogan. This component is being put in place now in the hope that it will replace the first component when it is no longer accepted by the American people. Once Obama has passed the point where the American people will accept the "inherited economy" slogan the Obama camp will move on to claim they are sacrificing short term gains to "ensure the foundation is laid for long term growth". This slogan will usually include a reference to 10 years down the road, which not coincidentally, will be at least 2 years after Obama would be President even if he wins a second term.

Obama is aware that if he can avoid accountability for his actions he will be able to move forward with his radical liberal agenda. The liberal agenda has always been pushed forward by using redirection when the American people disagree with the agenda. Obama has been able to use this tactic up to this point. Like many other liberals, he has not had enough of a connection to the American people to understand that this road is a dead end. The American people will hold him and his administration accountable despite his redirect, misdirect rhetoric.

The polls show that accountability is coming and ALL of the American people will be heard. Obama has made the mistake of thinking that all of the American people are like his radical followers who do not judge his actions but only listen to his words. Americans are easily hooked on good entertainment which Obama brought during his campaign. However, this is no longer entertaining nor is it good. As predicted by many during the campaign, Obama's vague speeches about "Hope and Change" do not make for good policy. When the policies are vague and without direction peoples lives are effected and the empty rhetoric starts to ring hollow and becomes an irritant rather than an encouragement. The American people are quickly growing weary of the rhetoric and will demand actions and accountability.

Obama is in way over his head. Its almost a joke except he is ruining the Nation. Gitner is in way over his head also maybe worse than Obama, its going to be interesting to see if the Liberal Media climbs on Obama or if they try to keep his screw up under raps. One thing for sure it will take years to fix the mess he has put us in.

Rasmussons poll today 56% approval, 43% disapproval. Down from 61% approval 4 weeks ago. People are seeing the difference between campaining and actually making discisions.

Once again the original post is about hold Obama and the democrats accountable and you try the old, old template of trying to blame it on Bush. Obama is the President and he is doing a crappy job. That has nothing to do with anyone else but Obama. The only ones who think he is doing a good job are the ones waiting for the candyman to come around and give them some.

BC, can you help your pal Pine Mt. out. Maybe you can explain the drop in the polls? I'm waiting anxiously to see how either of you are going to put this on Bush. :?:
