We agree, I actually think all political donations should be stopped. Its just a way of buying influence.

First I hate no one, I don't even know you. I just don't agree with most of your logic, doesn't make sense too me and I don't see where it has actually worked. Having said that I will go back to the other topic and resume our debate as soon as you respond to my last post where I responded to yours.

At the risk of even more arguments... a flat tax is a bad idea and neither republicans or democrats or rich or poor people generally think a flat tax is the right thing to do.

It would instantly send the world economy into a tailspin... The unintended consequences would be enormous.

There has been several volumes of information throughout our 200+ years stating how its not a good plan even though it sounds fair.

Kinda like Jesus said to the lady paying tithes. This lady gave all she had but you guys gave out of your abundance. He was trying to show people fairness and sacrifice is not always what it seems to be. We are better than that as a society and even rich or well to do folks that I know do not like the idea of a flat tax once they understand the issues.

You're right it's gonna start a new argument.

If stats show a flat tax is not right then what is fair and right? When you say flat tax I'm thinking tax rate as a percentage whatever that number may be. So if it's 20% then everyone pays 20% of their income. So if my thinking is correct and either it's not truly feasible or you just don't think that's fair then what would be fair?? How much should each person pay based on an income scale? I'm sure you've all heard the crap and the fallout about Phil Mickelson all because he thinks having to pay 63% of his earnings is a little on the steep side. Do you agree or disagree? To me regardless of how much money someone makes, has or is worth 63% is a HIGH number!! Is this what we define as paying their fair share?? More than double the percentage that the average person pays and a heck of a lot more than the lazy bums in our society pay. It makes no difference to me whether or not someone with that kind of money "can afford" it or not because it's theirs and they earned it so what gives anyone the right to confiscate huge amounts of their money just because we can't balance our own budget as a country???

Was at work last week in the middle of a 12 hour shift at the drugstore. I had several of the local customers who were picking up their free government paid for prescriptions (medicaid of Louisiana and Mississippi) who informed me that they needed to get their prescriptions filled early as they were gonna head up to the inauguration ceremonies. None of them looked old or disabled and none were children. Most were flying, not driving. I guess if your food and medication is free and you get a little spending change from Uncle Sam you can afford to travel in style to see you benefactors big party. Dont forget to call me on the free cell phone. Most said they were gonna make a week of it. Lodging and a plane ticket aint cheep, no need to hurry back as they dont work anyhow.

Wow, simply wow... Sore losers, bitter hateful people. That is our freely elected leader and literally the most powerful man in the world. You guys accuse me of indoctrination but someone must have got to you guys first.. Its honestly embarrassing we live in a world where you find it acceptable to behave this way. No wonder why congress can't get along and we have so much violence.

Even if Mitt Romney had one, very very few democrats would be acting this way (sure you would have some)... Its sad when your parties literal and actual platform is to try and cheat to win and then when you don't, claim terrorism. I get a lot of flac on here for not being Christian enough on here having attended a bible college but some of you guys need to take a long hard look in the mirror and evaluate your hatred and or bigotry..

And I am actually no fan of Obama... just happen to think he was the lesser of two evils.

I suspect they got accomadations from ACORN or some of the Green Energy recipients of our tax dollars. The company that received government grants to develop the Lithium Ion battery that is causing fires in the Chevy Volt and the now grounded Boeing 787, recently sold their technology to China. I suspect they would be willing to pay for the accomodations for several Obama sheep.
"Thermal damage was found in all eight cells of a lithium-ion batttery in a Japan Airlines Boeing 787 that caught fire earlier this month.
Forward!

Cute--- my students also resort to to doing this kind of stuff when they don't have anything intelligent to add to the conversation... Wait, no they don't they have more respect and either keep quiet or research it to find out something intelligent to say. If this is how we debate in this country we are seriously doomed.

Couldnt have said it better myself! There being more people at obama's vs Reagan's inauguration means nothing. Its just because theres more blacks and hispanics in america then ever before. People can say what they want.
Alot of them voted for OBAMA because of his RACE WHATEVER THAT MAY BE!!!!!!!!!

I got my first paycheck of the year 2 weeks ago and was a little confused. We received a 2% raise for the new year but my bring home pay was $150.00 less than the previous check in 2012. We get paid twice monthly so that is $300.00 less a month coming home with me. Cost of health insurance and other benefits on my check stub stayed identical but noticed a nice little increase in the federal income tax field. I checked my deductions with payroll, still claiming married with 4 dependents. Perhaps I am now considered wealthy, if so I dont feel any different. I always thought rich people felt different. Anyway, they cant say i didnt do my part in helping them travel to the big party. Enjoy the extra $3600.00 a year and dont forget to send a little of it back to the boss man in D.C. If there is one thing I learned about politics growing up in La. it is to keep the shotcaller happy. Good thing I didnt get a 10% raise as I may have to get a third job and invent an 8 day workweek. I called the District Manager and payroll and explained the situation and tried to give the 2% raise back was told I had to take it and what I did with it was my choice. Now that's funny, my choice!!!
