Sharks Circling the Old Hag

Post by Newt »

Sharks are circling the old hag.

Hillary Clinton’s presidential candidacy is beginning to look like an aging bomber hit one time too many by flak. Her campaign is making that ungraceful roll that precedes the fatal, disintegrating tumble. For decades, the Clintons have been the Houdinis of American politics, able to wiggle out of heavy chains to escape one death trap after another, always emerging with taunting smiles. But this time feels different.

Yesterday, The New York Times ran a long investigative piece detailing how millions in cash went to the Clinton Foundation from a Russian interest that needed a green light from the State Department to corner the world uranium market. Former President Bill Clinton received a jaw dropping $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank in charge of rating the stock of the company pursuing the deal.

The Clinton money pipeline doesn’t look any prettier downstream. Sean Davis in The Federalist reports on public filings showing that, of the $500 million the Clinton Foundation raised between 2009 and 2012, only 15 percent went toward programmatic grants (in other words, actual charities). Some $25 million went toward travel, and almost $300 million went toward “other expenses.”

Perhaps no less fatal to Clinton’s chances is her inability to tap the wellspring of enthusiastic support from millennials that has powered Democratic candidacies from Howard Dean to Barack Obama. "Saturday Night Live’s" Kate McKinnon’s recent portrayal of Clinton as deranged, power-mad and delusional was in perfect tune with millennial sentiment. The worst thing that can happen to a politician has happened to Clinton. She has become a figure of fun.

At first, it may seem that the cupboard of candidates is bare. It is an oddity of our times that we overlook the most obvious candidate, the man in plain sight, who holds the job that automatically positions him to be the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination.

I refer to none other than Joseph Robinette Biden Jr., vice president of the United States for these last seven years.

Reid Pelosi and Obama got there too late. The Clintons had sold all our military secrets and high speed computer technology to China, and the Uranium to Russia and Iran. There is some question as to the US Gold whereabouts. Rumors are that the vaults at Ft Knox are empty. They refuse to have it audited.
Since Obama, Reid, and Pelosi had total control of the government they just raided the treasury, gave money to their pact friends who funnelled a portion back to them.

Obamacare architect, Gruber called voters stupid. PM and his fellow democrats agree with that message.
