Re: Gas prices
No they're not!! They can't be!!! Say it ain't so!!!
I remember during Bush's administration when gas hit the $4.00 mark people were screaming bloody murder and how it was all his fault and that he should be doing something about it. Then when it went back down to below $2.00 I never heard another word about it let alone giving the man any credit for it.
Now President Obama started with gas under $2.00, went up steadily back close to the $4.00 mark again, came down shortly to around $2.00 and has been back up steadily for the most part since. We used to see short spikes in gas now we see short drops in gas prices. And of course the funny part is I never hear a dem say a word about the gas prices under obama's watch. In fact the same people and media outlets that complained about Bush and high gas prices are the exact same ones that now say the president can't do anything about the gas prices, that's the market...............and of course still Bush's fault.
They've got a good thing going though those dems, "Republicans destroy the economy and it takes us Democrats 2 terms to fix it".

Re: Gas prices
Gas was high under Bush- Democrats blamed him, republicans didn't.
Gas is high under Obama- Republicans blame him, democrats don't.
Truth is gas is probably never comig down regardless of who is in office. I remember in 2008 Obama made a few references to the high gas prices and made it seem as though Bush was to blame and he could fix it. Well it ain't gonna happen and anyone who believes that a politician on the national level regardless of party has their best interest at heart then please contact me about some ocean front property I have here in West Virginia and I will make you an excellent deal!

Re: Gas prices
You know what amazes me 5 years ago Obama was the second coming and he would right all the wrong fix all that was broken and now all of a sudden no politician is capable of helping, LMAO!!!! My how the mighty have fallen.
Re: Gas prices
I'm not blaming Obama for high gas prices, I'm blaming him for not building the Canada pipeline. He should be trying to keep fuel prices low while we build a national natural gas transportation system. That would create jobs and give us cheap clean energy. I'm blaming HIM for using tax payers money for green energy and then selling the technology to China. I blame Clinton for giving China high speed computers so they can hack our computers, put satelites in orbit, and sell the computer technology to Korea and Iran.
Connect the dots.

Re: Gas prices
Rabbit- I was just saying that I don't see a president doing anything about gas prices. One thing I am learning as I live is this. Democrats will always blame republicans. Republicans will always blame democrats. But in the end I see little difference between the two. Sure they say all the right things but they never act on their promises. If the American people would make their choices based on records instead of party we may not be in the mess we are in today. Maybe it's just me but I know so many people who vote straight ticket every year. Regardless of party this is not the answer. No one party has all the best candidates and if you believe they do in my opinion you are part of the problem. I am sorry if this offends anyone I just needed to vent a little. It just sucks to see your country falling apart and feel so helpless to do anything about it.

Re: Gas prices
Oh Dale, do you know why the parties can blame each other and get away with it. The people are the reason because there going to vote for a party and not principles, there going to vote based on nonsense rather than facts, why because knowing the facts would force people to actually research the candidates and thats just toooooo much work when the media will tell you what you need to know. You see people claim there for this or that but they make excuses, excuses, excuses to vote for the guy who believes the opposite. When the republicans run a candidate who believes in the destruction of the traditional family then I won't vote for him. Another words if hes for same sex marrige, HES NOT MY CHIOCE. I could go on and on and on but the truth is people just don't vote what they claim they believe, period and thats why the country is going down the tubes.
Re: Gas prices
I agree 100%. Most do not know anything other than what the media tells them. Sad but true.

Re: Gas prices
Heres a prime example Dale of whats wrong in our country. The voting electorate votes in a far leftist who is now trying to convince the supreme count to strike down DOMA (the defense of marriage act) which defines marriage as between a man and a women. I here people all the time talk about everything starts at home but obviously to me if they voted for this inept idiot their reasoning before they entered the voting booth didn't start at home. Their reasoning clearly didn't consider the damage to society, our youth, traditional families, ethics, morals and so on. It makes me sad as he!! to see where this country has decline to in just the last couple of generations. People selling out their principles for a handout, a free ride. you or anybody else can think what you want but thats what it comes back too, the more government gets involved the less freedom you have, the less oppertuninty you have, the less incentive you have, the lower life style you have. Dependency is a worse drug than cocaine or heroin. I could go on but its too early in the morning to get so depressed.

One Party has no shame:
The REAL reason behind out-of-control violence in Chicago is revealed: (Posted on 2/22/13 at 11:13 p.m.)
We learned the HIDDEN TRUTH this morning on CNN Newsroom when anchor Carol Costello asked her “Talk Back” guests about Retired Lt. General Russel Honore’s suggestion to use National Guard troops to curb murders in Chicago. Democratic strategist Robert Zimmerman astutely pinpointed the reason for Chicago’s carnage:
quote:
And let's be very clear about what's happening in Washington today and why it's undermining the city of Chicago, because there's a mindset now in our government, in Washington, from the Republican members of Congress, that sequestration is an acceptable way of doing business, that we can in fact engage in these massive irresponsible cuts that no one thinks is a logical approach to budgeting.
And that undermines law enforcement in our cities; it undermines so many education opportunities for our younger people and it does in fact -- in fact create an impoverished class of our society that leads to abuse, leads to violence and leads to more Chicagos.
Robert Zimmerman, according to the new gun laws, should not be allowed near a gun.
