The East Central Iowa Beagle Club would like to invite everyone to our spring trial. Breakfast and lunch will be served all three days. Dogs will be judged on horseback and foot (depending on the judges preference). Premeasuring at 0630 and entry deadline at 0700. We have a ton of rabbits at the club this winter so the running should be awesome! The gps address is: 1237 25th street monmouth iowa

The closest motels if anyone is looking for one will be in maquoketa which is about 12 miles east of the club.

Btt for a very nice club. I might run 2 or 3 female on friday. The ground is set up for handlers n judges to run dogs.

Any snow there?

Yeah Aaron we got a few inches yet. Historically though it melts 1-2 weeks before the trial and we are running on sod at the trial. I'll keep you posted as it gets closer. I sure HOPE this white crap is gone by then!! Jon

Highs are reaching the high 40s and low 50's daily now. We're losing the snow fast and I would expect it to all be gone and running on sod during the trial.

The snow is gone and the temps will be in the low 50s all three days. Terry Pallin was an advertised judge for little females and will be able to make it after all so the above judges are correct. If you have been here in the past few years and thought the rabbit population was great you will be even more impressed this year. Its amazing what a few additional brush piles can do to keep the population in excellent condition and the running has been absolutely awesome the past few weeks. stay tuned to the results section as they come in over the weekend and were looking forward to seeing everyone that can make it.

I just got back a while ago. Ground was dry, weather was nice, and lots of game. It was a blast. Good luck for everybody running 13" n 15" and 15" female sunday. Make sure to go there with stomach empty because their breakfast and lunch were very good.
