Just wanted to bring this back to the top. We are looking for a large turnout and some great hounds to show off their running ability at the trial. Bring your hounds, family and friends and come join us for a great time. If you are looking at getting into the trial scene come and watch and if you like what you see join our club as a member.

Jimmie, that was this trial's nickname back in the late 80" & early 90's. That was when it was the only AKC Mid-West trial in Ky. Everyone usualy came to this trial because it was one of only 5 or 6 clubs in the Mid-West & the running grounds were so great compared to other clubs. Entries would be between 60 & 100 per class back then. Jessamine County went through some changes since then ; some good/some bad & it's reputation wasn't very good for a while. Now that there are 22 clubs in the Mid-West Association & 6 clubs in Kentucky with excellent running grounds, I doubt that Jessamine will ever be as big as it once was, but I'm glad to say with the new officers that it's reputation of being a well ran & respected beagle club is back. I think that's what Duane (old blood) meant when he said, "The Super Bowl is Back".

Hey You All
Hoping to make the trial this weekend on Friday and run a couple of big bitches.Don't know if I've got the dog power to run with all the World Famous beaglers that will be in attendence but what the heck, all it will cost me is entrance fees!!!
Just wondering how is the game supply on the running grounds this year?
Will look forward to visiting with fellow beaglers and seeing some very good beaglers do their thing.Attended this trial 2 years ago and enjoyed myself very much.Jessamine County put on an excellant event and the judges were top flight and the running grounds in Berea are super.

Shady,
Rumor has it this year the rabbit population is much better on the CENTRAL KENTUCKY WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA. Mid-Ky had their trial around end of January and they had plenty of rabbits. I wasn’t there but the handlers I talked to, said most packs didn’t go 5 minutes before finding a bunny. Hopefully, this is true and we have plenty of rabbits this weekend.

Good luck to everyone,

Looks like it's gonna be good weather; got about an inch or two of snow, calm winds & calling for warmer temperatures toward the weekend. I've been down w/ the flu the last couple days, but gonna tough it out tomorrow & see you Saturday Jimmie. If we get picked up early , we may go somewhere and pleasure run for a while. Later, Greg
