Sorry to hear you didnt make it in jim But there is always Next year. I Went last year And my ol lugnut Dog made a good showing (BIS) We were going to go this year but plans got messed up And Wife couldnt make it..We WILL be represented this year though A Crewse-N beagle Will be there Watch For her LOL, We Will be Going next year for Sure!!! So make some plans and we will get together then.. THIS is a GREAT EVENT and the grounds and People attending along with the History all make it worth the trip......I Cannot accurately Describe What it is like...No Competition so to speak..( No Pressure) just a bunch Of great Houndsman and Women getting together to Share their Enthusiasm and love for our little hounds....
For those that Dont know What the triple Challenge is here is the Information...
http://clubs.akc.org/NBC/nbc_triple_challenge.htm

The NBC Triple Challenge event was initiated for the purpose of recognizing and promoting the complete, versatile beagle through a weekend of competitions during which the hunting talents of the individual hound will be evaluated (through a Brace Format field trial), as well as its ability to contribute to the work of a pack afield (during a Three Hour Stakes class). Additionally, the qualities of conformation, movement, condition, soundness and temperament will be judged in a Conformation show. Awards are based on a combined score earned through competition in all three phases of the event (field trial, stakes class and show).

Here is Some more information on the Grounds as well as the History Surrounding this prestigious Event...

How do you join the NBC? Also, where do you send you entry to and when is the deadline every year. This sounds like a fun trial and a good vacation to try to plan for next year. Also it sounds like a good way to measure a hound.
