As far as what kind of hound that does well in this format: you need first strike- good control - and good speed. A Good solid hound. And most of all - know your dog! You will need to call it's bark for strike points.. Read the rules & you will be involved in the cast outcome, as the whole cast is involved in the outcome- not just 1 judge.
Every cast will have a winner - either with plus , circle or the least minus points.

your hounds will do fine, its a double hunt so 1 in the morning and another in the afternoon. Hope to see you there.

How do you spell FUN its easy PKC We saw some serious rabbit running..I know everyone would agree.. Thank you Connie and Steve, so many other people stepped up to make this hunt a success. Joyce and Walter Hummell for working so hard running the kitchen, it was great..I know I speak for lots of others who havent tried this format before.."I'll be back"

I had a great time at the PKC hunt today held by Backwoods Beagle Club! Thanks for putting on an enjoyable hunt today! Your club did a great job! This was my first PKC and will not be my last! Thanks again!

This was a great hunt! Piketon, Jackson, and now Backwoods are showing that Ohio is taking PKC to a new level. if you havent tried a PKC hunt yet, get out and go. Connie, Steve, Frank,the Meade's, and the rest of the Piketon group are great ambassadors and helped get this first hunt get off the ground with ease.
