PETA continues shameless ad campaigns

This is a good place to inform fellow hunters about bills and other legislation that may jeopardize our rights to hunt and free cast our hounds.

PETA continues shameless ad campaigns

Post by windy hollow »

In yet another shamefully offensive display, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has created an anti-meat billboard that compares Jesus Christ to a barnyard animal.

The ad features a photo of a pig and the caption, "He died for your sins – go vegetarian." The organization says its reference to Jesus’ crucifixion is meant to generate compassion for animals in the meat-industry.

“This appalling ad is not the first time PETA has used crude religious angles to promote its political agenda,” said U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance President Bud Pidgeon. “Last year, the animal rights group launched a campaign that compared the slaughter of animals to the murder of 6 million Jews during World War II.”

PETA has an entire website, http://www.jesusveg.com, that includes information about a billboard it created that depicts Mary with a chicken in her arms with the tagline “Go Vegetarian—It’s an Immaculate Conception.”
