Jack Rabbits in Wis.

We have a season For the Jack rabbits here in Wis.Now I have talk to many of hunters that are out and about alout Hunting any thing form Coyoteis to trappers, Dear hunters and ones that hunt mose any thing an nobuty has ever seen just one Jack rabbit,the only thing that i get from the older hunters are that thay see them about 20 to 30 years ago. Ive even ask about 10 game wordens and thay dont know where thay are at. But every year we have a season on them.The season starts the 3rd week in Oct. than ends after the 2nd week in Nov.I dont know why thay still have a season.I personly would like to see them Back.I was told by people that years ago that thay would stay out near bullthistells, live around them.From what Ive been told thay can run as fast as a fox,thay make a big square Mile when thay run.What Im asking does it tack alout of ploiticks to get D.N.R. to put them back here agian?Asking any one apinion.Thanks For Reading,JustHunter

I havent seen a jack rabbit around in wis either and the only place I ve ever seen them is down in Iowa. They should cancel the season and let the numbers get up around here so that we can hunt them.

I think thay need to bring in Rabbites( Jacks)Cause if no one has seen any.Their isnt any around.I talk to D.N. R. and all thay say is you haft to go to meeting.all thats bull.Ben to meeting and thay dont care to do any thing about it. Cause it dont make them any Money.All thay said was thay would look in to it. Never heard nothing about it from them.All thay care about is these Deer,that have C.W.D. thay know about that over 20 years ago,Thay were told about them thanm and didnt do any thing than just let it go longer.Thay dont tell that this deer thing with C.W.D. is in the ground and thay cant get ride of it,It stayes in the ground for 5 to 7 years.So the deer just keep getting infeted by it.Thay tell me it a lack of zink or Iron in the ground thats make the deer les Vonberable it.Herd that thay recived alout of money from the insurance companys,To get ride of the deer,Car veriues deer.The Insurance Companys lost alout of money on. All ways semes to be over money,Every thing these day, Well iGot way off track,But i just want the publict to know about them here in Wis.We are the 2or 3rd most state to have the most D.N. R.
