Indiana sporting dog groups to hold annual meeting

This is a good place to inform fellow hunters about bills and other legislation that may jeopardize our rights to hunt and free cast our hounds.

Indiana sporting dog groups to hold annual meeting

Post by jackrabbit »

A meeting is in the works for an ALL SPORTING DOG OWNER MEETING earlly this year. More than likely the meeting will take place in the Indianapolis area unless a more centrally located location can be found. This meeting is for the express purpose of unifying the many diverse sporting dog groups in Indiana so we can speak with a louder voice to IDNR and the legislators. We will come together later this spring/summer to pinpoint the many needs our groups have, and to insure that when we are seeking to expand our individual opportunities the needs of the rest of the sporting dog folks are taken into account. just a few of the many topics to be discussed will be the miserable state of our field trial rules, right to retrieve laws, and the extention of Rabbit season into Feb. each year. There are so many differant sporting dog groups out there and we are so extremely splintered that effectively working on our issues is difficult. we are already in a situation that resembles sleeping with the enemy when dealing with our own Division of Fish and Wildlife, and only thru a more cohesive unity are we going to bring positive changes in Indiana.

Please let your state organizations, group or club officials, and sporting dog friends know what is being planned. more information will be forth coming and as always if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions please feel free to contact us at indianabeaglersalliance@yahoo.com or call me at 574-267-5608 you can leave messages on the Alliance website also http://www.indianabeaglersalliance.org

thanks
