I wish...

What are some hounds that you have seen run that at the end of the day you wished you owned them...The ones that you have run with that you keep thinking about for whatever reason(s). It may have been their mouth, hunt, drive, etc. that caught your attention, but you wished they were riding home in your truck box! (Even if they had a few faults you could live with... )

Here are a few that I can remember:

Branko's Sky High
Permar's Drummer Boy
FC Maravic's Mr. Stub's Timberjack
HOF GCH O's Blue Buddy
FC Chimney Rocks Kentucky Lucky
FC Howard's Bandit
(A female that I think Arlie Thompson's Dad owned 13' killed us all day at a trial at North Central)
FC Topfuel Chester
Female that I judged at North Central that won that day. All white 15 female. She looked darn good. I think she ended up finishing.

More to come...

****** I ran out of time, this is why I edited this, more names.

FC Eyer's Jericho
The female out of Trials that Mr. Scott Music owned (She looked like a 15 male)
The first time I saw Eddie Taylor's Star female.
Kelly Bonnette's Old Rabbit hound "Lightfoot" the first time I saw him.
FC Blue Bud the first time I saw him, placed under me and was very nice.

More to come the more time I have to think:

Thanks Dana. Coming from you, that means a lot. I had more fun with Skeeter and Magic then any (2) dogs I've ever owned. Just wished I'd owned a video camera to have recorded them with so I could still hear them run occasionally.

I could have been satisfied with those two if they had lived for 30 years.

Schag the female was Rabbit Ridge Maggie (IFC DOYLANDS JIMMY X LPRCH LAMBERTS LIL LADY ) she had just come off pups and was out of shape but still putting a solid whipping on them in many eyes but wasnt placed .

You are probably right, but I was thinking it may have been Lady. I thought Haretrigger was the sire, but again not sure. The female placed third and Lamarr Rhodes was handling her as well I think. Regardless, I remember saying to myself, I would love to own her.

Ole Lady was definitely a good one, there were a lot of nice dogs in this area back then,Randy Hicks had FC Intimidator,Marvin Bowman had FC Ryder,Woody Gearhardt had Slim which was a nice young male out of his FC Super Dog,My dad an I had a nice young male LPRCH Yogi,Lamarr Rhoades had a nice male LPRCH Buck,Darryl Downs had a real nice male Sky High,Larry Hicks had HBCH Prince of Elliot,Chad Douglas had a nice female HBCH Ally,Matt Smedley had a nice male LPRCH Max,etc etc..Everybody use to run dogs at a nice spot that set between Mansfield Lahm Airport an Newman Technology, they mowed that place down several years back,we use to have some good runs back then & a lot of fun, there were a bunch of beaglers in this area back then, some guys have gotten out of it,some have passed away or gotten to old.. But there are still several beaglers in the area,we all run our dogs across the street from the Airport & Newman Tech now,it's a industrial area (bunch of factories) and there are still some nice dogs in the area,John Brightbill has FC Chester,I finished FC Patience,Eddy has IFC Kickaz, etc etc..But my wish would be that they would let that spot grow back up again, that was a great place to run dogs back in the day :)

Yes, We have been fortunate to see a lot of nice dogs run here around the Mansfield,Ohio area, and a lot of good beaglers to. Lamarr that's a pretty good list you put together there. My two favorite males from around here would've had to be FC Branko's Lumber Easy Rider, and Thompson's Blackhawk Down. My two favorite females from around here would have to be FCGD Thompson's Try My Patience, and Smedley's Nosey Rosey. But there are definitely others that I would've liked to take home with me as well.
