Thanks wildcat I got hold of a vet here and spoke to them 465$ for collecting and 100$ a year storage. I think I'm going to have my HBCH collected for some future breeding. Thanks for the response

Just a FYI if the cost to store semen is over $200 a year you will come out ahead buying your own semen tank and storing it onsite. You can pick up a brand new tank for around $600 that will store around 1000 1/2 cc straws. Have your local ABS, Select Sires, etc.. fill them for you at $20-$25 every three months and you are good to go. You could also pick up a good used tank for $300 or so. Hold times are typically between 60-90 days on the liquid nitrogen depending on what model you use. I store several hundred straws of bull semen in two tanks, one is a huge tank I use to keep my inventory in and then I have a smaller tank that I use when actually breeding cows. Total cost between the 2 is about $75 per three month cycle.
This will also allow you greater flexibility at breeding time as you can haul the semen to your breeding vet of choice instead of having to breed where semen is stored or having it shipped which is expensive.

Dean Bitzel in wabash In. Never gone. $200 for a collection which is about 3 to 4 breedings. $25 per year for storage. Top notch place. Also does TCI breedings which is pretty successful in beagles.
