So it was a tie for Top Sire ? Someone told me Oliver won it. I let my subscription run out & haven't see that issue yet.

Is Oliver available for public stud?Have not seen a stud ad for him in Better
Beagling or on this board. Was just wondering? A friend was interested and I know that Bob King owns him but didn't know of any contact info. to give him.

I think he lives in Mt. Pleasant, Mi. It's about mid way through lower Michigan. Bob is one of the finest men I've ever met. He's finished several hounds in the Mid-West & the NMHA & judged as many trials as anyone in beagling history. He is a fair & firm judge; one of the best. I think he deserves to be in the Mid-West Hall of Fame or any Beagling Hall of Fame for that matter. It couldn't have happened to a better guy to own such a fine producer as Oliver.
I could say the very same thing about another friend of mine from Michigan, John Dewyse. Great hounds (FC's after FC's) & a great judge in his day.

Yes,the top sire award was a tie. I believe Viagra has been dead for 3 or 4 years now, pretty impressive to still be in the running for top sire.

Yes it is. Best producer from the Awful Bawlin line for sure. Mountain Man ( Striker x Sock It To Me bitch) & Haunted Hill Shaker / Blue Ninja blood on bottom; correct.? Good stuff.
With Reggie & Oliver having a few years left, who will be challenging them in the future? Any predictions? I hear that John Dewyse's Exspresso male is nice enough for people to use him, but you never know which ones will produce until you see their pups on the ground in action. Ky Lucky, Bullet, Wango Tango, Dino, Chester, Switch, Ohio Reggie, Blue Bud, Colonel, Beast, Navigator, one of the Branko males, Kane, etc.. ??

There's no Ninja in Viagra's pedigree, Viagra's brother Verswacker is also producing very well,I believe Wack has been Canada's top producer for a couple years. As far as the future I would like to take a nice bitch to one of the males out of the Viagra x Satsuma Sadie cross, this cross has produced 7 FC's. Iceman is tied for fourth on the top sire list with 10 placing hounds, I dont think a man could go wrong by using Iceman or Chopper,it's to bad that Veet passed away so soon.

Sorry, I thought there was Ninja on the bottom. What is the very bottom, Kingwood Shorty?
Roy Noe's Simba that has won two trials in a row is by FC Topfuel Chester. Chester is by Reggie & a Viagra bitch. Chester may be the next great producer. Time will tell.
I judged a good Satsuma dog many years ago now, FC Clear Cut Red Bones. Nothing wrong with the FC Satsuma Mack stuff in my opinion. This line traces back to many familiar famous hounds.

I'm sure there will be a lot of good producers coming up in the future, there's a lot of nice dogs out there, just depends on what a man likes. I like to look at strong crosses, there's no denying the producing power of certain crosses when the offspring continues to pass on great traits, two of the best crosses of all time come through these lines.....

(FTCH Mountain Man x IFC Hoser) ______(IFC Viagra x Satsuma Sadie)

IFC Awful Bawlin Viagra ______________ FC Peters P&P Iceman
FTCH Awful Bawlin Verswacker ________ FC Arkmo's Chopper
FTCH Awful Bawlin Zorro Real One _____ FC AJ's Levitra
FC Awful Bawlin Volker Man ___________FC Fletcher's Electra
FTCH Awful Bawlin Versatile Tootsy ____ FC Fletcher's Satsuma Blondie
FTCH Awful Bawlin Venus Dolly ________ FC Fletcher's Ellie

Viagra's granddam Haunted Hill Halo was by Haunted Hill Sounder ( FTC Mc Bride's Iron Scooter & FTC Branko's Kisser) & a bitch by FTC Kingwood Shorty ( FTC Branko's White Blizzard). Blizzard was by FC Dingus MacRae & Anna's Ann.
