Color affect price?

Curious...and thought I'd toss the question out. How much do you think color affects the price of a dog? Are there colors that seem to sell better? Quality of the dogs being equal, size being equal, etc.

Not selling any myself, just curious what others out there thought.

Black and Tans bring the most, those who have them know they are more than worth it! Like our wives, our beagles aren't perfect so if you have to listen to them, they might as well look goooood !

Silver is rare. One vet said 1 in 10,000, I charge a little more; seems everybody wants the silver pups.

Never heard of "silver" beagles. How exactly does one come about that color scheme?

Does a bear defecate in the woods?

Why do you think the first thing a person asks is send me a pick. It's probably has more influence on price then the actual blood/breeding of the dog.

The line I'm runing a most always have a couple in each litter. Sometimes I've even had an entire litter of silver pups.

What do you put down on registration papers to AKC for color? I have one to register, figured I'd have to call AKC and ask.

Not knocking the silver pups...but I have heard this is actually a genetic flaw and that these dogs may be extremely susceptible to skin conditions and issues.

Any truth to this...??

They look pretty cool and I can see there appeal.
