just looking for your opinion on the best stud out there today ? and why? please stick to the tread.

This forum follows Gun Dog Brace to Hare hounds, so it would be helpfull if you stated the style of hound you are interested in, because one size does NOT fit all.

I like what FC Branko's Red River Runner is throwing. I don't know if he's the "best stud" out there but he throws what I like.

In the top sire it's Viagra and he's been dead for a year or two. I don't know who owned him when he died but if he drew straws on him, he might be a top sire for a while...

Statens Blue Samurai ! WHY? Sam consistantly throws litters of rabbit dogs I bred to him couldnt be more happy we kept 2 males and they are awsome ! these pups
are 9 months old and can lock on a rabbit and keep it going for hours with no help running solo. they have big noses and big time mouths ( coonhound for sure ) they
are fast but gear down when needed and just simply keep the rabbit going driving it with athuority! there are guys all over the country with sam pups i talked to
several before i bred to sam and these guys described there dogs almost with the same words !thats what you want! concistantcy. i believe sam to be as prepotent
of a sire as anything out there . the bad part is a lot of folks will probably miss the boat on him. sam throws alot of big mid west style dogs! like mine

Danny rivers had Viagra at stud when he passed he died 3 yrs ago I'm not sure if he had him drawed or not. I know he still has a shot to hang onto it this year. I believe in a few yrs your goin to see males out of Viagra that are also producing quality rabbit hounds to compete in the AKC Midwest and large pack format.

Oliver seems to be making a dent. Have seen quite a few nice young dogs off him. Seems to be a lot of young dogs placing too.

LP GRCH GBCH Staten's the jokes on you (joker).. Joker is a top end competition hound and has perfect conformation. He is already showing the signs of being a great stud dog. Pups from multiple females are already showing they are as good if not better than the their sire and this fall there will be several winning and placing in little pack.

Going by numbers & trial results, best living sire is Oliver. Would like to see some Prime Time bitches bred to him.

if going by trial numbers and results, Verswacker isn't doing to bad!

You name one he is the best in someone's opinion.
