Looks like it needs a door to use to extract the rabbit.

The octagon is 22" across with each side being about 9.25" the walls are made from a 1x6 board and 1" wire or use expanded metal to make them stronger. It slides on 3 pieces of 5/16 threaded rod about 14" long. Cut the holes on top plywood 1/2" so it drops quicker. Triggers are a 1/4" steel rod with a notch ground on the edge. Cut a 3/4 hole in center of top and screw a washer covering part of the 3/4" hole. The washer sits on notch on trigger to make more of a hair trigger. Weld 2 3" wood screws on bottom of trigger to hold apples or if you can get wild rabbit droppings put them near the trigger domestic might work. Be sure to put a door somewhere in it top or one of the sides. You can screw a nut and washer down the three pieces of threaded rod to lock it shut for moving trap with rabbit in it.

There are eight sides four solid and four cut to cover with wire. Threaded rods bolt to the bottom I hope this explains it enough so you understand how to build it.

If you catch a rabbit and have more traps put him in them so he can poop and pee on the floor it will attract more rabbits.

If you catch something other than a rabbit wash with Clorox and water to kill the scent a rabbit will not go near an odor that it is afraid of but Clorox odor does not scare them.

I forgot to mention angle cut on boards are a 22 1/2 degree angle to make the octagon.

They work good. I built two and catch a ton of rabbits with them. Much better than a wire box trap :check:
