I've got a big square plastic dog house that I'm going to use for my female to raise a litter of pups in. What would be the best thing to put around on the inside to keep her from laying on them and how high off of the floor of the house do I put it? Any info or pictures would be appreciated!

I have never used a rail inside no dog house. I have bred my share of dogs and never had a dam lay on one. I guess you could research on the internet and find that info out. Just research whelping box and it will shoot back a lot of info.

Pig rail made of PVC pipe. Look up Pawpaws kennels (Harvey Cain). He has some Pictures and a lot of information on beagles.

Same here. I've been raising beagles since 1970 and I have yet to have a beagle bitch lay on a healthy pup.

1 1/2" stiff rubber hose , easy to bend around corners , shoot a wood screw through it not so tight that it pulls it flat . Workd for me but as said never seen a healthly pup just smahed .
