Took my dogs to run hare today and could not be happier that I did, had a young dog running that to be honest has frustrated me at times yet for whatever reason seems to really knuckle down on hare. This was the the third time he has had the chance at hare and will be 2 in May and managed to run solid for over 26 miles at 4.5 according to the Garmin. Hope he has something left for tomorrow.

6 hours of solid running is impressive. How many deer were there?

I know .....I've run lot of hare....no idea how far they run, don't own a Garmin but 25-30 miles seems reasonable for all night run.

If he didn't turn off his collars before transporting the dogs that mileage would be added on also.

Dropped the dogs and started a new hunt clearing previous dog info on the Garmin, never moved the dogs or truck from that spot.

Steve,

Just messing with you. I'm sure you had a nice race didn't mean to tarnish it for you with a comment. I actually had you confused with someone who would have taken my comment much differently.

There are a couple of places on the Island that a 4-6 hour chase is not uncommon. I don't own a Garmin so I'm not sure how many miles the dogs run but it has to br quite a few.
