A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a Yankees fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they were Yankees fans too. Not really knowing what a Yankees fan was but wanting to be just like
their teacher, their hands explode into the air like fleshy fireworks. There is, however, one exception. A girl named Lucy did not go along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different. "Because I'm not a Yankees fan." Then, asks the teacher, what are you? "Why I'm proud to be a Red Sox fan," boasts the little girl. The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Lucy why she is a Red Sox fan. "Well, My Dad and Mom are Red Sox fans, and I'm a Red Sox fan too." The teacher is now angry. "That's no reason," she says loudly. "What if your Mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?" A pause, and a smile. "Then," says Lucy "I'd be a Yankees fan."

child custody case was held in court. The judge felt that the mother and father were both fit to be parents and therefore couldn't decide who he should grant full custody to. So he asks the little boy, "Would you like to live with your mother?"
"No." said the boy.
"Why not?" said the judge.
"Because she beats me."
The judge says "Okay, then you'll go live with your father."
"Oh No," cried the boy, "He beats me too."
Dumbfounded, the judge asks "Okay who do you want to live with?"
"I want to live with the Yankees."
"Why?" asks the judge.
"They don't beat anybody."

The only thing that would have been better than seeing the Yankees lose would have been to see them come back from 7 runs down and win the game. That would have really given the "Red Sox Nation" something to cry about. The curse lives on!! LOL.

Being a life-long Cubs fan, I have to pull for the Astros. Also, I can't stand the Yankee's so I was glad to see the Sox beat them. It just goes to prove that you can't buy a championship team, not with any amount of money. BO-SOX won because they had heart. It was the team that beat the individuals of the Yankee's.
If the Card's win tonight, then I will pull for the BO-SOX just because I am a Cubs fan and can never enjoy seeing the Card's win a game. However, if Houston wins then it is National League for me all the way.
Kind of like football. Da Bears and whoever is playing the Packers! (And for that matter, whoever is playing the Cowboys

I never have been much of a baseball fan do to it seems like a slow, boring game..... plus its a summer time sport and as a boy I was always fishing of a summer. I have always been a Reds fan though.....every since the Big Red Machine days when I would go down to 16th Street and watch the hometown AAA team Indians play the Reds with Bench, Rose, Morgan, Perez, etc.
I must admit.....this World Series I watched and enjoyed! This was good for baseball and America, we needed this. Nothing against St. Louis because I sure like Tony, loved him when he was with the A's. He has that layed back fire in him I like! A polite guy who could trigger into an animal in the blink of an eye......what you see is what you get.
How about them Sox! Those men are something else. The heart of lions. Most everyone would have given up when dropping the first 3 games of a 7 game series....but to come back and win it, plus sweep a great team in the finals. I think this gives us all a little more reason to not give up until the fat lady has sung! Never say its over........ until its over
Just my thoughts,
Randy
