What a pain in the backside. Any suggestions or shortcuts. I think I need a copy of the CKC registration, a copy of an official 3 generation pedigree from CKC, 2 pics, $100, tatoos, and my last born. WTF!

I did it twice and there is no short cuts but when I did it the cost wasn't as high, When I did it, you had to send a side view, front view picture also a copy of a certified ckc pedigree ( this took over a month to get), The pup or dog should already have the tatoo in the ear that matches the number on the ckc papers atleast the 2 I did already had them. I agree it is a pain in the rear.

I've noticed that about CKC. I'm not really in a hurry. I do have pups off of her but she only had 2 and I'm keeping them so there's no rush.

when you are registering a foreign dogs its the same both ways CkC to AKC or AkC to CKC. Copy of papers, 3 Generation pedigree 2 photos ( AKC) tattoo or micro chip CKC. and of coarse the money. I have done it a number of times with no issue. Sure it takes a month or so but it goes through the mail twice.

Before the pups can be registered AKC, the bitch will also have to be DNA tested. More money!!!!!

i have recently started this process. my question is will they put the akc paper on the pups from a ckc dog once he's been papered akc. it took a lot longer for the process than i thought and the gyp had her pups before the dog was ever registered akc. i was just wondering if they put the akc on them after the fact. i can't get them to answer that question cause i haven't sent the money in and may not if it doesn't transfer to the pup's.

If both parents are DNA'ed they will. I got my AKC papers back on my female and now have sent off the DNA test on her because she was from Canada and registered CKC first. Guess what it only cost $45 more dollars!!!
