akc papers question

if i buy a dog from some one and they cant find there papers only pedigree who has to call akc and get papers, them or can i do it myself

The breeder has to get the papers. Was the litter registered? If so he can request a duplicate registration application for you r dog. If the dog has been registered, the owner listed on the registration certificate must request a duplicate.

Dont leave without papers in hand if he said he misplaced the paper nine times out of ten they never was registered in the first place because they already know they can get more but just my two cents

IMO, the litter should be registered before pups are sold. I'd be concerned if he can't find papers or offered to send them later. Reputable breeders keep their paperwork current.

I have been waiting a while on papers for a young dog I bought and still don't have them,I will never make that mistake
again,you should always get papers when u purchase the pup or dog right then,I hope u get ur papers bopar8454
