Here is the pyramid style.
Here is my style of the pyramid I came up with.

This is how I pull the rabbits outta the trap.
The first trap pictured I found the rabbits chewed the heck out of. I always seemed to be replacing the wood in them. The 2nd and 3rd pics the rabbits couldn't chew on at all.

Ironjaw,
I use your style of trap but use heavier wire on top. Too many ground hogs and opposoms chewed threw chicken wire and I got tired of replacing it. I also put cabinet latches on mine-the child-proof kind because rabbits were getting their noses under the wood and pushing their way out from under the top. Easy to make and works really well.
