I'm currently receiving Hounds & Hunting. Any others you'd suggest?

I would ask this first. what style of hounds do you run? if you run faster midwest style stuff I would get better beagling (all color) or american beagler. I used to get hounds and hunting and it tends to lean towards the ubgf and brace stuff

+1
Hounds and Hunting is mainly for UBGF and brace. Not a bad magazine, just different.
I run the Midwest style and get Better Beagling and The American Beagler. BB is almost entirely AKC SPO and Large Pack, whereas the Am Beagler is mainly UKC with some AKC mixed in.

Thanks, think my dog fits more of the ukc performace pack and ubgf style. Has some decent foot, 7 or 8 maybe, but not lighting fast. Good line control, close check work. I will look into American Beagler

UKC Performance Pack & UBGF are totally to different styles... There is no in between. UKC Performance Pack dogs are pretty much the same as Midwest/large Pack. There are a lot of dogs like Kimbrel's Kick Em up Kane & Barcus's Ohio Tuck who both have competed in UKC and AKC and has champed in both. In my opinion they both would be picked up in a UBGF Trial, since UBGF don't promote a hard hitting dog...
