one of my bitchs just had her litter sunday oct 20,13 at 9 pm she has bounced back doing great like she never had a litter . she is wanting to go back to the brush but I don't want to take any chances on her what would be a recommended time to take her back out.

When her tits dry up and there is no chance of them getting cut up and infected.

I was always afraid of losing my female after the pups were born. #1 priority was for her to be a good mother (which she was). I started running her after she dried up and they were eating dog food.

Is this a serious question? She just had pups 3 days ago....

Uh hmmm....I'd probably wait 4-5 weeks till pups are weened and then another week or two for her to dry up and go from there but that is my .02 :???:

She probably would enjoy walks around the yard and some time away from the pups right now but not running through brush and briars then have pups try and eat from her torn up teats.

Running with her teats full of milk is painful for her, she would soon find out. I agree, wait till she is dried up and back in good shape physically.
Thanks,
Bob

Probably about 30 years ago dad had a very nice bluetick female with a litter of puppies get loose and run
until she took what was then called "milk fever" long story short , she died.I would highly recommend you
listen to the guys telling you to wait until she's dried up completely.
