Was wondering what type of loads y'all use rabbit hunting. I shoot 7 1/2 shot size with an ounce of powder mostly. Shoot sixes if hunting a real nasty thicket of something.

Depends; #6 3/4 oz. in 28 gauge and #6, 7/7 oz. in 20 gauge Lots of time I use a .22 auto or pistol. Don't kill many that way, but sure have fun.

I've shot those before too, liked them a lot. Have a couple boxes of Winchester super x now.
I hunt with a 870 wingmaster, 20 ga. Once in a will I will take out my grandpa s old gun, deluxe topper model 188 .410 by Harrington & Richardson

I have always preferred # 5's when I can find them in both a 20 and 410. I feel the 5's are a good split between the heavier #4's and the number of pellets you get with #6's. Imagine that 5 is between 4 and 6. No really do like 5's best of all.
