Can you run a tracking collar on your dog in a AKC trial? I have never been to a trial and I was thinking about going to one.

I believe in an AKC Midwest trial you can, but the tracking collar strap has to match the color collar you were drawn.
In the AKC SPO trials I have ran in an enclosure in PA/NY, no one runs trackers. Not sure you're allowed either.

In Midwest trials you are permitted to use tracking collars and the standard black is fine just let judges know before casting the dogs.

That is what I was told ...I had to use Black electrical tape the first time I used one to make it a neutral color. LOL

It has to be neutral black or match the color collar you are assigned, also it has to he a tracker only it can not be the shocker/tracker combo
